The Soccer World Cup has come and almost gone and our best expectations have been exceeded. Mnr. Pravin Gordhan, Minister of Finance, estimates that the tournament brought in R38 Billion, about the same amount as South Africa spent on infrastructure, security and transport. However it is evident that the Construction industry has lost momentum and cannot sustain the high level of activity achieved since 2006.
